Curaleaf Launches New Hemp-Derived THC Products Online

The TDR Three Key Takeaways regarding Curaleaf Launches New Hemp-Derived THC Products Online:

  1. Launch of e-commerce site TheHempCompany.com for direct consumer sales.
  2. Products available starting June 26, with shipments beginning July 1.
  3. Strategic partnerships with DoorDash and retail outlets to expand distribution.

Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. (CA: CURA, OTCQX: CURLF), announced the launch of a new line of hemp-derived THC products under its Select and Zero Proof brands. These products will be available for direct-to-consumer orders beginning June 26 through the new online storefront, TheHempCompany.com, with shipments starting July 1, just in time for the July 4 holiday.

In addition to its own products, TheHempCompany.com will feature selected third-party hemp brands that meet Curaleaf’s strict quality standards. The company is also partnering with DoorDash for on-demand delivery and establishing strategic retail partnerships to broaden distribution.

“Curaleaf’s hemp business represents an opportunity for our brands to be distributed to, and to compete in, mass market retail locations across the country as well as create an online storefront,” said Boris Jordan, Executive Chairman of Curaleaf.

Anthony Varrell, co-host of the “Trade to Black” podcast, praised the move, highlighting the strategic timing and marketing foresight. “They’re hoping that they can start shipping July 1st to fulfill the orders for the July 4th weekend. It’s pretty smart by Matt and Boris to get these in people’s hands ahead of the July 4th weekend where they’re going to be drinking a lot,” he remarked. Varrell emphasized the potential for significant user-generated content during the holiday as consumers share their experiences with the new THC beverages.

Curaleaf’s products will be manufactured in a certified cGMP facility, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Each product will feature transparent labeling, listing ingredients and potency, and a QR code linking to certificates of analysis from independent testing labs. “As the world’s leading consumer cannabis company, Curaleaf has both the opportunity and the obligation to continuously set the bar for quality, regulation, and safety,” said CEO Matt Darin. “As the market demand for hemp-derived products grows, we remain committed to exploring the many ways in which we can leverage our high standards for manufacturing, production, and quality to deliver safe and trusted products to adult consumers at retail and through eCommerce. Each of our hemp-derived gummies and seltzer-based beverages are made with our strict quality control practices, which is lacking in the current market. We look forward to setting a new standard with trusted products delivered in a convenient, seamless way for every type of cannabis consumer.”

Varrell also noted the company’s commitment to age-gating, only selling to adults 21 and over with age verification at purchase, distinguishing Curaleaf from less regulated competitors. “They’re age gating, selling to adults 21 plus with age confirmation area, age verification required upon purchase,” he explained.

The launch includes Select’s core gummies and Zero Proof seltzers, which are expected to perform well in the market due to their innovative formulation and branding. “Select Zero Proof seltzers are formulated to provide consistent bursts of flavor and THC to elevate moments, experiences, and connections,” said Varrell. As Curaleaf continues to innovate and expand, the launch of its hemp-derived THC products and new e-commerce platform positions the company to meet growing consumer demand and generate substantial shareholder value.
