Verano Expands to 79 Dispensaries in Florida
Verano Holdings Corp. (Cboe: VRNO; OTCQX: VRNOF) continues to make strides in bolstering its market presence in Florida with the recent launch of MÜV Melbourne and MÜV Okeechobee. The addition of these two dispensaries brings the company’s total count to 79 in Florida and 152 nationwide, as the company prepares for potential adult use cannabis in the sunshine state.
MÜV Melbourne, the latest dispensary opening will be located at 7660 N Wickham Road, which will tap into the Brevard County market, which has a population that exceeds 606,000 residents. The location will operate from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. On the other hand, MÜV Okeechobee, located at 510 NE Park Street, further strengthens Verano’s foothold in south central Florida, complementing existing locations in key areas such as Port Saint Lucie, Fort Pierce, Stuart, and Hobe Sound.
John Tipton, who is President of the Southern Region, expressed the strategic importance of these new dispensary launches in anticipation of the upcoming vote on Amendment 3 scheduled for November 5th. The potential approval of this amendment could unlock the adult-use cannabis market in Florida, presenting a potential $4 billion market opportunity in the inaugural operational year. Verano’s expansion to 79 stores not only defines their proactive approach of expanding in the state, but also their increasing confidence that Amendment 3 will pass on election night.
