Beena shares the latest earnings from their Q1 2025 fiscal. Kicking off the podcast with their latest earnings, Beena explains that despite stock performance taking a hit, Organigram reported a 17% increase in net revenue to $42.7 million for Q1 Fiscal 2025, up from $36.5 million in the same period last year. International sales grew by $2.3 million, and adjusted EBITDA rose to $1.4 million from $0.1 million.
The acquisition of Motif Labs has positioned Organigram as a leader in multiple categories, including vapes, pre-rolls, and flower. International expansion, particularly through its relationship with Germany’s Sanity Group, is expected to be a key driver of future growth. Organigram’s upcoming EU GMP certification will eliminate intermediaries in its supply chain and increase profit margins on international sales. Germany’s cannabis market has grown fourfold since decriminalization in April 2024, with demand outpacing supply.
Trent Woloveck, Chief Strategy Director from Jushi, joins us later in the show to talk about the new appointment of Terry Cole. Cole will be the head of the DEA under the Trump administration. Having managed Virginia’s medical cannabis program, Cole’s appointment raised concerns among industry members due to his previously stated opposition to adult-use legalization. However, it is unlikely that Cole will have significant influence over federal cannabis policy. We’ll explain why.
