Why Are Women Largely MIA From C-Suite Positions in the Cannabis Industry?

As the Cannabis continues to grow globally, one number that continues to stand out is that women make up just 38% of employees in the cannabis industry.

Furthermore, to date currently 75% of cannabis companies have ten or fewer women employees with many having zero women in executive level positions.

In our latest segment we sit down with Amanda Byrd – Chief Marketing Officer of Philter Labs to understand the reasoning behind all of it.

Byrd is no stranger to stigma and stereotype being the former brand manager and merchandising director of global brand Hustler, as well as building a licensing program for Penthouse.

Byrd also talks about her new role at Philter Labs, the first and only technology-enabled filtration company to pioneer a new category of micro-sized personal air filters that will eliminate 97% of second hand smoke and smell.
