Guaranteed Money #47: How Andre Degrasse Joined The Coolbet Team

Kris Abbot, head of North America at Coolbet, joins host Ryan Doyle in this episode of Guaranteed Money. We take a close look at how their entry into the Canadian market is going.

If you’re unfamiliar with Coolbet, Kris Abbot shares a little bit about the brand and how it was founded in 2015. Though it was primarily a European-facing book when they launched, it clearly didn’t stay that way for long. Coolbet, he says, is a place for recreational players and not so much for big money.

Find out what Abbot thinks about the Canadian market, and Ontario in particular since the regulation changed on April 4. Education is definitely a massive component. But why did Coolbet take a different path in converting Ontario customers? You’ll have to listen to the full episode to find out!

Ryan’s given Coolbet kudos on the show before about how the company transitioned out of being a grey market site. Not every sports betting company handled it with as much grace. Find out from Kris Abbot about why Coolbet decided to give customers their money.

Together, the two also they take a look at how the company landed track star Andre Degrasse as an ambassador and Coolbet’s recent partnership with Push Gaming. That and more in Guaranteed Money!
